At Steph Wilks Costumier, we take pride in creating high-quality handmade dance costumes and ensuring your order arrives safely and on time. This Shipping & Dispatch Policy outlines how orders are processed, shipped, and delivered in accordance with New Zealand consumer laws.

By placing an order with Steph Wilks Costumier, you agree to the terms outlined below.

 

 

Processing & Dispatch Times

​

As many of our costumes are handmade, custom-made, altered, or embellished to order, processing times may vary depending on the complexity of the garment and current workload.

Estimated dispatch times will be communicated at the time of ordering. Dispatch estimates are provided in good faith but are not guaranteed delivery dates.

Orders are generally dispatched Monday to Friday, excluding New Zealand public holidays.

During peak dance competition periods, dispatch times may be longer.

 

 

Custom & Made-to-Order Costumes

Custom costumes require design, manufacturing, fitting, embellishment, and finishing time prior to dispatch.

Customers are responsible for:

• Providing accurate measurements

• Reviewing design approvals carefully

• Responding promptly to fitting or approval requests

Delays in communication or approvals may affect dispatch timelines.

 

 

Shipping Within New Zealand

We currently ship throughout New Zealand using reputable courier services.

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout unless otherwise agreed.

Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive shipping confirmation and tracking details where available.

Delivery timeframes are estimates only and may vary due to:

• Rural delivery locations

• Courier delays

• Weather events

• Public holidays

• High-volume seasonal periods

 

 

International Shipping

International shipping may be available on request.

Customers are responsible for:

• Any customs duties

• Import taxes

• GST/VAT charges

• Border processing fees imposed by the destination country

Steph Wilks Costumier is not responsible for delays caused by customs clearance or international courier disruptions.

 

 

Urgent Orders

​

Rush orders may be accepted depending on workload and fabric availability.

Additional rush production or express shipping fees may apply.

Please contact us before ordering if you require a costume urgently.

 

 

Delivery Responsibility

​

Under New Zealand consumer law, products must arrive within the agreed timeframe or, if no timeframe is agreed, within a reasonable time.

Steph Wilks Costumier is responsible for ensuring goods are delivered in acceptable condition when delivery is arranged by us.

Risk of loss or damage passes to the customer once delivery has been confirmed at the delivery address provided during checkout.

Customers must ensure shipping information is accurate and secure for delivery.

 

 

Incorrect Addresses

If an incorrect or incomplete delivery address is supplied:

• Additional shipping fees may apply

• Delivery delays may occur

• Returned parcels may incur re-shipping charges

Steph Wilks Costumier is not responsible for parcels delivered to incorrectly supplied addresses.

 

 

Lost, Delayed, or Damaged Parcels

If your parcel is lost, significantly delayed, or arrives damaged, please contact us as soon as possible.

Where applicable, we will work with the courier provider to investigate the issue.

Customers should:

• Keep all packaging

• Take photographs of any damage

• Notify us promptly after delivery

 

 

Tracking Information

Where tracking is available, customers are responsible for monitoring shipment progress using the tracking information supplied.

If you have not received tracking information within the estimated dispatch timeframe, please contact us.

• Urban New Zealand addresses: approximately 1–3 business days

• Rural New Zealand addresses: approximately 3–7 business days
